Dvorak is one of the big names in classical music, and I love his work. It is full of energy and vitality. Inspiring, and uplifting. The Slavonic Dances are always wonderful to listen to, and this is one of my favourites.

You’ve pegged Dvorak : full of energy and vitality. And the great way he uses folk themes. I really like the New World Symphony, but that might get a little too energetic for writing purposes. 🙂

I’ve never cared for classical music. I always presumed it to be uppity and pretentious. Until I began to read further into the life of artists. It eventually led me into the lives of composers. They were (and are) so messed up. Chalked with many personal flaws. I now understand and love classical music. Mendelssohn especially.

Yeah, they were pretty messed up. But there’s definitely so much emotion and skill in their music. I’ve listened to it all my life, and still keep learning as I listen each time. Always enjoyable.
