So I hate yellow dust because it makes my eczema flare up, it leaves everything dirty, and it’s bad for you.
But at least it gave us one day of amazing weather at the end of February. 22 degrees and sunny? (with slight haze) It was pretty awesome.
My friends and I took advantage of it by hiking in the middle of Seoul. We started out at Dongdaemun, and ended up near Anguk station.
It was advertised as a one hour hike by my friend.
We hiked for 5 hours.
Well, it was worth it. Besides the high levels of yellow dust that made me feel like I’d just smoked a pack of cigarettes.
Well, I shall now write in pictures.
So yeah, it was pretty awesome.
We then went past around 3 out of 4 gates, up lots of stairs, and inevitably down as well. It was weird to go from nature to big city within the span of twenty minutes, but it was a nice break from everything at least for a while.
And then we got these amazing tacos in Hongdae afterwards. Foreign food craving satisfied!
Walk with those a pollution mask to save the lungs and savor the beauty? Your tale makes me want to come walk with you – with a mask – of course.

Yeah, a pollution mask would be necessary on days like those. But worth it to enjoy the hiking! 😀
